TESTIMONIES OF MIRACLE HEALING: WHEN DR. RANDY CLARK CAME TO TOWN!

Upfront and Personal With Dr. Randy Clark (www.globalawakening.org)

Anyone familiar with the Bible will find scores of miracles and healing; right from Genesis to Revelation. Though, today the advances in science and medicine have pushed our faith in divine healing to the back seat, we are still indirectly reliant on it because the human intelligence is from God. Nevertheless, it is very refreshing when we see and partake of the raw healing power of God, without drugs or any medical procedures. This is more so when such ailments have persisted and defied medical treatment.

And so it was recently, when Dr. Randy Clark, renowned American healing evangelist hosted the Kingdom Foundation Conference in Lagos. Held at the prestigious Intercontinental Hotel, the conference was aimed at not only healing the sick of diverse ailments, but to impart, renew the faith and expectation of divine healing in participants. More importantly, Kingdom Foundation encourages you to press in and renew your passion for the Kingdom.

The first day centered on EQUIPPING. Randy’s desire was to see every believer equipped to bring the Kingdom of God to earth. The sessions were designed to endow the participants to operate in words of knowledge, become comfortable praying for the sick and understanding common revival phenomena.

On the second day, attention was focused on BUILDING FAITH. Randy a legendary story teller, drew from his vast experience of praying for the sick to encourage and build faith. He shared his victories and his defeats in relevant, easy to understand sessions. His life theme of “God can use ole’ me” will encourage any person.

The third and concluding day dealt with PRESSING IN and PASSION. The sessions helped define what God is doing in our time whilst encouraging us to become His vessel that will invade earth with the reality of heaven. In Romans 12:11, we are enjoined to never lack in passion. Certainly the conference succeeded in no small measure in renewing the passion for the things of God and demonstrating His healing power!

Randy’s trip and the conference were made possible by Lapislazuli Ministries, founded by Femi and Mina Bajomo. It is an example of how individuals can make an impact in their generation. This is because Dr. Clark is well sort after around the globe and it was not a mean feat to bring him and his team to Nigeria. And for the participants which cut across general overseers, pastors, church leaders and the general public, it was a lot of savings in travel expense if they were to take a trip overseas to be in any of his conferences.

Not regarding the cost savings, the real benefits were in the miracle healings that took place, the impartation and the passion for divine healing which came upon many of the participants. It was Randy’s expressed desire that the pastors should train others and replicate the session in their churches. He urged all believers to appreciate that ministering healing must become a common occurrence in all our lives – not something simply relegated to clergy. Central to Randy’s ministry is the understanding that God not only can but also desires to use ordinary people to do extraordinary things. These seeds and more, which he sewed in those three days, will of course, outlive him.

Last Line: Healing was central to the ministry of Jesus and is part of the great commission assigned NOW to all believers. Matt 4:23NIV “Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.Mark 16:15-18 NIV “He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."

BIRTHDAY APPRECIATION!!

Dear Friends,

My birthday yesterday, February 25th, was a profound and humbling experience.

I would like to thank God most especially, who has brought me to this landmark age. While I give Him all the glory, I make bold to say I would draw more from His grace in the next 50 years of my life;
to serve Him and humanity.

To my family, loved ones and friends, all over the world, thank you for your words of felicitation; and most remarkably for the kind words of my comrade Maxie. To you and all my associates I can only declare that severally and together, we can change our world for the better…. Let’s do it!!

2014: IT IS TIME TO GET BACK TO ……..!!

After four weeks of a family Christmas and New Year holidays in the UK, I came back packing some extra weight. You might ask what weight has got to do with it. Well, for me it was the first time in my life the scale will hit the 90kg mark (and I have always been on the slim side). Furthermore, for the first time since we got married, my wife said I snored while sleeping. She and my daughter even conspired to record it in case I argued with them (but save yourself the trouble, you won’t find it uploaded on YouTube. LOL!). Don’t get me wrong, there is no crime in snoring, but I know a passage in the Bible that says all things are lawful, but not all things are expedient….

It is not too surprising how I got to 90kg. What with plenty of food and drink literally on the shelf. The British weather did not help much; except it was absolutely necessary there was no need to walk the streets. I was also not there as a tourist.  That is not to say we didn’t go out. We regularly shopped ( In fact I believe Britain is all about work, shop and sleep, with little else in between!), went to church and on my son’s birthday, we all went to the Odeon to watch a movie (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty). When schools resumed, my routine consisted mainly of seeing the kids and my wife off, and then retiring back to the house. Though I usually strolled to the community park gym for some exercises, I knew I didn’t exert much physical effort. Spiritually, of course, I kept fit with the Bible, prayer and a number of preaching engagements in the parish church we attended.

If I am so concerned with 90kg, you might want to ask what I am doing about it. I am in the process of rejoining my health club, whilst converting my house to an exercise course. I jog through the rooms, toilets, sitting room, kitchen and stairs; do press ups hanging my legs on the table; etc.  Out of choice, I have resorted to that secondary school boarding meal schedule of 0-0-1. The popular staple, garri is off limits – very difficult for an Ibo man. If I must swallow, I may only consider wheat flour. Are there results to show?  When last I checked, it was less 3kg, and I am not giving up….

In addition to getting back to shape (work in progress), I have also settled down to my secular and spiritual business routines. And if you are reading this, it is evidence that I have gone back to blogging, which is really the main reason for this piece! I am not a professional blogger, or in contention with Linda Ikeji, but I am also prepared to improve on the delivery and outlook of my blog. To assist in this regard, I have engaged some friends to help with the packaging and presentation. So look out for a more engaging blog page and content. It is going to be interactive and I would like you to encourage me by sharing your thoughts, either in comments or as a guest blogger….

I don’t know what good thing you want to get back to and the bad ones you want to give up on.  But it is time you got down to it. I guess it is all about focus, keep doing that which needs to be done and discard the distractions. After all, the difference between one year and the other, at least on the individual level, is the cumulative effect of the things we do each day.

Last Line: Nehemiah overcame distraction because he was focused.  Nehemiah 6:3 NIV .‘‘So I sent messengers to them with this reply: "I am carrying on a great project and cannot go down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and go down to you?"

We all can succeed as Nehemiah, by the help of God.
