Divine intervention! #PastorBasil

Acts 27:44 The rest were to get there on planks or on pieces of the ship. In this way everyone reached land in safety.

Don’t give up!...

Acts 27:40 Cutting loose the anchors, they left them in the sea and at the same time untied the ropes that held the rudders. Then they hoisted the foresail to the wind and made for the beach.

Due process! #PastorBasil

Acts 27:41 But the ship struck a sandbar and ran aground. The bow stuck fast and would not move, and the stern was broken to pieces by the pounding of the surf.

Don’t give up! #PastorBasil

Acts 27:42 The soldiers planned to kill the prisoners to prevent any of them from swimming away and escaping.

Reject satanic plots! #PastorBasil

John 11:23 Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise again."

Let us pray: O Lord, lift us from where we have fallen in Jesus name #PastorBasil

Postscript

Ecclesiastes 7:29 This only have I found: God made mankind upright, but men have gone in search of many schemes.

God, more than earthly manufacturers, created a perfect mankind; and like every manufacturer, He gave the Bible as the manual. As we brush our teeth and eat every day, so much do we need to look into that manual for daily living and thereby prevent a malfunction inherent in seeking our many devices.

These verses and the accompanying nuggets are meant to start you out every day. But you need a personal relationship with God and the Lord Jesus Christ. It will help to contact a bible believing church near you.

A new dawn! #PastorBasil

John 11:21-22 "Lord," Martha said to Jesus, "if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask."

Be encouraged! #PastorBasil

Acts 27:29-30 Fearing that we would be dashed against the rocks, they dropped four anchors from the stern and prayed for daylight. In an attempt to escape from the ship, the sailors let the lifeboat down into the sea, pretending they were going to lower some anchors from the bow.

Do not fear! #PastorBasil

Acts 27:31-32 Then Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, "Unless these men stay with the ship, you cannot be saved." So the soldiers cut the ropes that held the lifeboat and let it fall away.

Acts 27:18 We took such a violent battering from the storm that the next day they began to throw the cargo overboard.

Let go! #PastorBasil

Acts 27:19-20 On the third day, they threw the ship's tackle overboard with their own hands. When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved.

Keep hope alive! #PastorBasil

WORD DIARY: MONDAY DECEMBER 23, 2019

Beware of dangerous assumptions!...

Acts 27:12 Since the harbor was unsuitable to winter in, the majority decided that we should
sail on, hoping to reach Phoenix and winter there. This was a harbor in Crete, facing both southwest and northwest.

Consider possible outcomes! #PastorBasil

Acts 27:13 When a gentle south wind began to blow, they thought they had obtained what they wanted; so they weighed anchor and sailed along the shore of Crete.

Beware of dangerous assumptions! #PastorBasil

Acts 27:14-15 Before very long, a wind of hurricane force, called the "northeaster," swept down from the island. The ship was caught by the storm and could not head into the wind; so we gave way to it and were driven along.

Cause and effect! #PastorBasil

John 11:12-13 His disciples replied, "Lord, if he sleeps, he will get better." Jesus had been speaking of his death, but his disciples thought he meant natural sleep.

Redeem the time! #PastorBasil

Acts 27:10-11 "Men, I can see that our voyage is going to be disastrous and bring great loss to ship and cargo, and to our own lives also." But the centurion, instead of listening to what Paul said, followed the advice of the pilot and of the owner of the ship.

Take good counsel! #PastorBasil

John 11:11 After he had said this, he went on to tell them, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up."

Let us pray: O Lord, visit us with your divine restoration in Jesus name #PastorBasil

There’s favor on the way!...

Acts 27:1-2 When it was decided that we would sail for Italy, Paul and some other prisoners were handed over to a centurion named Julius, who belonged to the Imperial Regiment. We boarded a ship from Adramyttium about to sail for ports along the coast of the province of Asia, and we put out to sea. Aristarchus, a Macedonian from Thessalonica, was with us.

Life is a journey! #PastorBasil

Acts 27:3 The next day we landed at Sidon; and Julius, in kindness to Paul, allowed him to go to his friends so they might provide for his needs.

There’s favor on the way! #PastorBasil

Acts 27:4 From there we put out to sea again and passed to the lee of Cyprus because the winds were against us.

Reject every contrary wind! #PastorBasil

John 11:7-8 Then he said to his disciples, "Let us go back to Judea." "But Rabbi," they said, "a short while ago the Jews tried to stone you, and yet you are going back there?"

Let us pray: O Lord, remove any hindrances to your divine fellowship with us in Jesus name #PastorBasil
