WORD DIARY: SUNDAY MARCH 31, 2019

Luke 20:27-33 Some of the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Jesus with a question. "Teacher," they said, "Moses wrote for us that if a man's brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man must marry the widow and have children for his brother. Now there were seven brothers. The first one married a woman and died childless. The second and then the third married her, and in the same way the seven died, leaving no children. Finally, the woman died too. Now then, at the resurrection whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?"

Prepare for the resurrection! #PastorBasil

Luke 20:34-35 Jesus replied, "The people of this age marry and are given in marriage. But those who are considered worthy of taking part in that age and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage.

Grace to make heaven! #PastorBasil

Luke 20:36 And they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God's children, since they are children of the resurrection.

Children of God! #PastorBasil

John 1:32-34 Then John gave this testimony: "I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him. … I have seen and I testify that this is the Son of God."

Let us pray: O Lord, show us your glory in Jesus name #PastorBasil

Postscript

Ecclesiastes 7:29 This only have I found: God made mankind upright, but men have gone in search of many schemes.

God, more than earthly manufacturers, created a perfect mankind; and like every manufacturer, He gave the Bible as the manual. As we brush our teeth and eat every day, so much do we need to look into that manual for daily living and thereby prevent a malfunction inherent in seeking our many devices.

These verses and the accompanying nuggets are meant to start you out every day. But you need a personal relationship with God and the Lord Jesus Christ. It will help to contact a bible believing church near you.

WORD DIARY: SATURDAY MARCH 30, 2019

Luke 20:20 Keeping a close watch on him, they sent spies, who pretended to be honest. They hoped to catch Jesus in something he said so that they might hand him over to the power and authority of the governor.

Evil monitors shall fail! #PastorBasil

Luke 20:21-22 So the spies questioned him: "Teacher, we know that you speak and teach what is right, and that you do not show partiality but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not?"

Truth is constant! #PastorBasil

Luke 20:23-26 He saw through their duplicity and said to them, "Show me a denarius. Whose portrait and inscription are on it?" "Caesar's," they replied. He said to them, "Then give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's." They were unable to trap him in what he had said there in public. And astonished by his answer, they became silent.

Divine wisdom! #PastorBasil

John 1:29-31 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! This is the one I meant when I said, 'A man who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.' I myself did not know him, but the reason I came baptizing with water was that he might be revealed to Israel."

Let us pray: O Lord, grant us the revelation for true relationship with you in Jesus name #PastorBasil

WORD DIARY: FRIDAY MARCH 29, 2019

Luke 19:45-46 Then he entered the temple area and began driving out those who were selling. "It is written," he said to them, "'My house will be a house of prayer'; but you have made it 'a den of robbers.'"

Fit for purpose! #PastorBasil

Luke 19:47-48 Every day he was teaching at the temple. But the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the leaders among the people were trying to kill him. Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words.

Against all odds, pursue purpose! #PastorBasil

Luke 20:17-18 Jesus looked directly at them and asked, "Then what is the meaning of that which is written:"'The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone'? Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed."

Jesus, the chief cornerstone! #PastorBasil

John 1:26-27 "I baptize with water," John replied, "but among you stands one you do not know. He is the one who comes after me, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie."

Let us pray: O Lord, give the grace to have a personal relationship with you in Jesus name #PastorBasil

WORD DIARY: THURSDAY MARCH 28, 2019

Luke 19:41-42 As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, "If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace — but now it is hidden from your eyes.

Wanted: Spiritual insight! #PastorBasil

Luke 19:43 The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side.

Wanted: Divine protection! #PastorBasil

Luke 19:44-45 They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God's coming to you."

Wanted: Mercy of God! #PastorBasil

John 1:24-25 Now some Pharisees who had been sent questioned him, "Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?"

Let us pray: O Lord, silence every power challenging your glory upon our lives in Jesus name #PastorBasil

WORD DIARY: WEDNESDAY MARCH 27, 2019

Luke 19:35-36 They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it. As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road.

Manifestation of purpose! #PastorBasil

Luke 19:37-38 When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: "Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"

Magnify the Lord! #PastorBasil

Luke 19:39-40 Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!" "I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."

All for the glory of God! #PastorBasil

John 1:22-23 Finally they said, "Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?" John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet, "I am the voice of one calling in the desert, 'Make straight the way for the Lord.'"

Let us pray: O Lord, grant us the grace to proclaim your good news in Jesus name #PastorBasil
