NEW BEGINNING! – PART 2 - THE NEW CREATION!..

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." — 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

One of the expressions of new things is that God uses them to offer us a new beginning. A new beginning is one of God's greatest gifts to humanity. It is His gracious invitation to leave behind the failures of yesterday and embrace the hope of tomorrow. It is the assurance that no matter how far we have fallen, how many mistakes we have made, or how impossible our circumstances appear, God is able to write a new chapter in our lives. The gospel itself is the greatest story of a new beginning. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, sinners are forgiven, hearts are transformed, and lives are recreated by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Apostle Paul captures this truth in our anchor Scripture, 2 Corinthians 5:17, where he declares that anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. This is not merely an improvement of the old life or an attempt at self-reformation. It is a complete transformation brought about by the saving work of Christ. The old identity dominated by sin, guilt, shame, and spiritual death has passed away, and a new life filled with God's grace, purpose, and righteousness has begun. This new beginning is available to every person who places their faith in Jesus Christ.

Throughout the Bible, we see remarkable examples of people whom God gave fresh starts. Noah entered a cleansed world after the flood. Abraham began a new journey at God's command. Moses received a new assignment after years in the wilderness. Ruth moved from loss to divine purpose. David rose from shepherd to king, despite his humble beginnings. Peter was restored after denying Christ, and Saul the persecutor became Paul the apostle through the transforming power of God's grace. Their stories remind us that our past does not have to determine our future when God is at work.

Our five-part series for the month of August, “New Beginning” will help us establish that every genuine new beginning starts with Christ and continues as we surrender every area of our lives to Him. Together we will learn how to leave the past behind, experience God's restoring power, renew our minds through His Word, and walk boldly into the new season He has prepared for us. Whether you are seeking spiritual renewal, healing from past failures, restoration in your family, breakthrough in your career, or a deeper relationship with God, this series will reveal timeless biblical principles that lead to lasting transformation.

As we journey through this month together, let us approach God's Word with expectant hearts. Let us believe that the God who opened the Red Sea, restored broken lives, raised Jesus from the dead, and established the Church is still at work today. May this month mark the beginning of a fresh season of faith, obedience, fruitfulness, and spiritual growth as we experience the life-changing reality of God's New Beginning.

#Mercy over judgment!

Jer. 7:21-23 “‘This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Go ahead, add your burnt offerings to your other sacrifices and eat the meat yourselves! For when I brought your ancestors out of Egypt and spoke to them, I did not just give them commands about burnt offerings and sacrifices, but I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you.

#Desire complete obedience!

Jer. 7:24 But they did not listen or pay attention; instead, they followed the stubborn inclinations of their evil hearts. They went backward and not forward.

#Reject evil desires!

#Repent from evil!..

Jer. 7:12-13 “‘Go now to the place in Shiloh where I first made a dwelling for my Name, and see what I did to it because of the wickedness of my people Israel. While you were doing all these things, declares the Lord, I spoke to you again and again, but you did not listen; I called you, but you did not answer.

#Listen to God!

Jer. 7:14-15 Therefore, what I did to Shiloh I will now do to the house that bears my Name, the temple you trust in, the place I gave to you and your ancestors. I will thrust you from my presence, just as I did all your fellow Israelites, the people of Ephraim.’

#Beware of rejection!

#Repent from evil!

Jer. 7:18-19 The children gather wood, the fathers light the fire, and the women knead the dough and make cakes to offer to the Queen of Heaven. Postscript

Ecclesiastes 7:29 This only have I found: God made mankind upright, but men have gone in search of many schemes.

God, more than earthly manufacturers, created a perfect mankind; and like every manufacturer, He gave the Bible as the manual. As we brush our teeth and eat every day, so much do we need to look into that manual for daily living and thereby prevent a malfunction inherent in seeking our many devices.

NEW BEGINNING! – PART 1 – INTRODUCTION!..

Jer. 6:6 -8 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Cut down the trees and build siege ramps against Jerusalem. This city must be punished; it is filled with oppression. As a well pours out its water, so she pours out her wickedness. Violence and destruction resound in her;     her sickness and wounds are ever before me. Take warning, Jerusalem, or I will turn away from you and make your land desolate so no one can live in it.”

#Be prayerful!

Jer. 6:9 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Let them glean the remnant of Israel as thoroughly as a vine; pass your hand over the branches again, like one gathering grapes.”

#Be patient!

Jer. 6:10-11 To whom can I speak and give warning? Who will listen to me? Their ears are closed so they cannot hear. The word of the Lord is offensive to them; they find no pleasure in it. WORD DIARY: SUNDAY JULY 26, 2026

#Accept correction!..

Jer. 5:1 “Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem, look around and consider, search through her squares. If you can find but one person who deals honestly and seeks the truth,     I will forgive this city.

#Desire truth!

Jer. 5:2 Although they say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives,’ still they are swearing falsely.”

#Reject falsehood!

Jer. 5:3 Lord, do not your eyes look for truth? You struck them, but they felt no pain;     you crushed them, but they refused correction. They made their faces harder than stone     and refused to repent.

#Accept correction!

Jer. 5:4-5 I thought, “These are only the poor; they are foolish, for they do not know the way of the Lord, the requirements of their God. So I will go to the leaders and speak to them; surely they know the way of the Lord, the requirements of their God.” But with one accord they too had broken off the yoke and torn off the bonds.

Let us pray: Father God, may we not break the covenant with you in the name of Jesus

#Life questions and meditation:

1. Would you rather accept correction?

2. Would you rather reject correction?

WORD DIARY: SATURDAY JULY 25, 2026

#No more fear!..

Jer. 4:27-28 This is what the Lord says: “The whole land will be ruined, though I will not destroy it completely. Therefore the earth will mourn and the heavens above grow dark, because I have spoken and will not relent, I have decided and will not turn back.”

#Lord have mercy!

Jer. 4:29 At the sound of horsemen and archers every town takes to flight. Some go into the thickets; some climb up among the rocks. All the towns are deserted; no one lives in them.

#No more fear!

Jer. 4:30 What are you doing, you devastated one? Why dress yourself in scarlet and put on jewels of gold? Why highlight your eyes with makeup? You adorn yourself in vain. Your lovers despise you; they want to kill you.

#No more death!

Jer. 4:31 I hear a cry as of a woman in labor, a groan as of one bearing her first child— the cry of Daughter Zion gasping for breath, stretching out her hands and saying, “Alas! I am fainting; my life is given over to murderers.”

Let us pray: Father God, turn our pain into joy in the name of Jesus

#Life questions and meditation:

1. Would you rather fear God?

2. Would you rather fear men?

NEW THINGS! – PART 4 – CONCLUSION! (ANOINTING SERVICE)

Our earthly existence is ruled by times and seasons which are in God’s hands (Dan 2:21). We may be going through challenging or good times, but the truth is that God is always doing new things. He wants us to focus on the new things rather than being rooted in our past experience, either good or bad. As we learn in Isaiah 43:19 "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." This promise was first spoken to the Israelites in their period of hardship, disappointment, and captivity. They had seen the mighty hand of God in the past, yet they were facing a future that seemed uncertain. Into that moment, God declared, “Behold, I will do a new thing.” The same God who made a way through the Red Sea (Exodus 14:21-22) and led His people by a pillar of cloud and fire (Exodus 13:21-22) was about to reveal another dimension of His power. Their past victories would not become the limit of God’s future possibilities.

In the Bible and our contemporary world, we see numerous examples where God intervened, in the affairs of nations or individuals, to manifest these possibilities. The Shunammite woman (2 Kings 4:8-17), was in a state of childlessness for so long that she wrote off the issue as a concern. It was only at the insistence of Elisha that she admitted, and according to the word of the prophet she had a child in due season. Before that, the inherited debt of the wife of a prophet which consigned her two sons as collateral was miraculously paid off when her small jar of oil multiplied (2 Kings 4:1-7). Peter’s night of fruitless and frustrating fishing was turned into a morning of net-breaking catch (Luke 5:1-11). Let us see verses 4-7 for emphasis: “When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink”

God has not changed and is still doing new things today. Our four-part series for the month of July, “New Things” is a call to faith. It is a call to expectation. We pray that as we open our hearts to His Word each week, we will behold His new work, recognize His divine timing, and walk in the paths He prepares. We will drink from the rivers He causes to flow in every wilderness. Indeed, we will not miss our season of visitation, but receive all that God has ordained for us in this month of new things. Join us this and every Sunday, on-line or in person, as we explore the theme and conclude the series.

WORD DIARY: FRIDAY JULY 24, 2026

#No more foolishness!..

Jer. 4:20-21 Disaster follows disaster; the whole land lies in ruins. In an instant my tents are destroyed, my shelter in a moment. How long must I see the battle standard and hear the sound of the trumpet?

#No more battles!

Jer. 4:22 “My people are fools; they do not know me. They are senseless children; they have no understanding. They are skilled in doing evil; they know not how to do good.”

#No more foolishness!

Jer. 4:23 I looked at the earth, and it was formless and empty; and at the heavens, and their light was gone.

#No more emptiness!

Jer. 4:24-26 I looked at the mountains, and they were quaking; all the hills were swaying. I looked, and there were no people; every bird in the sky had flown away. I looked, and the fruitful land was a desert; all its towns lay in ruins before the Lord, before his fierce anger.

Let us pray: Father Lord, deliver us from your righteous judgment in the name of Jesus

#Life questions and meditation:

1. Would you rather desire wisdom?

2. Would you rather desire foolishness?
