WORD DIARY: THURSDAY AUGUST 1, 2024

 

 

#God is watching!..

 

Psalms 73:9 Their mouths lay claim to heaven, and their tongues take possession of the earth.

#Beware of hypocrisy!

Psalms 73:10-12 Therefore their people turn to them and drink up waters in abundance. They say, “How would God know? Does the Most High know anything?” This is what the wicked are like— always free of care, they go on amassing wealth.

#God is watching!

Psalms 73:13-14 Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure and have washed my hands in innocence. All day long I have been afflicted, and every morning brings new punishments.

#Grace to persevere!  

Psalms 73:15-17 If I had spoken out like that, I would have betrayed your children. When I tried to understand all this, it troubled me deeply till I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny.

Let us pray: Father God, grant us understanding in the name of Jesus

#Beware of pride!..

 

Psalms 73:2 But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold.

#Stand firm!

Psalms 73:3 For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

#Beware of envy!

Psalms 73:4-6 They have no struggles; their bodies are healthy and strong. They are free from common human burdens; they are not plagued by human ills. Therefore pride is their necklace; they clothe themselves with violence.

#Beware of pride!

Psalms 73:7-8 From their callous hearts comes iniquity; their evil imaginations have no limits. They scoff, and speak with malice; with arrogance they threaten oppression.

Let us pray: Father God, arise and deliver us from the plots of the wicked in the name of Jesus

#Marvelous God!..

 

Psalms 72:17 May his name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun. Then all nations will be blessed through him, and they will call him blessed.

Psalms 72:18 Praise be to the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds.
