WORD DIARY: SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 6, 2026

#God have mercy!..

Jer. 15:1-2 Then the Lord said to me: “Even if Moses and Samuel were to stand before me, my heart would not go out to this people. Send them away from my presence! Let them go! And if they ask you, ‘Where shall we go?’ tell them, ‘This is what the Lord says: “‘Those destined for death, to death; those for the sword, to the sword; those for starvation, to starvation; those for captivity, to captivity.’

#God have mercy!

Jer. 15:3-4 “I will send four kinds of destroyers against them,” declares the Lord, “the sword to kill and the dogs to drag away and the birds and the wild animals to devour and destroy. I will make them abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth because of what Manasseh son of Hezekiah king of Judah did in Jerusalem.

#God have mercy!

Jer. 15:5-6 “Who will have pity on you, Jerusalem? Who will mourn for you? Who will stop to ask how you are? You have rejected me,” declares the Lord. “You keep on backsliding. So I will reach out and destroy you; I am tired of holding back.

#God have mercy!

Jer. 15:7-8  I will winnow them with a winnowing fork at the city gates of the land. I will bring bereavement and destruction on my people, for they have not changed their ways. I will make their widows more numerous than the sand of the sea. At midday I will bring a destroyer against the mothers of their young men; suddenly I will bring down on them     anguish and terror.

Let us pray: Father God, let your mercy prevail over judgment in the name of Jesus

#Life questions and meditation:

1. Have you offended God?

2. Have you asked God for mercy?

ACTIVATING DIVINE PROTECTION! – PART 1 – INTRODUCTION!..

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” — Psalm 91:1

Psalm 127:1 cautions against self-help, - "Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain; unless the LORD protects the city, its watchmen stand guard in vain." In a world where uncertainty, danger, fear, insecurity, and unexpected challenges abound, the temptation to rely on ourselves can be overwhelming. But God has not left us without a covering. Scripture reveals that divine protection is not merely a promise to admire but a spiritual reality that believers can walk in through faith, obedience, prayer, and intimacy with God. It is our responsibility to draw on this reality as we progress in our earthly pilgrimage.

Our anchor scripture for this month, Psalm 91, is one of the most powerful passages in the Bible concerning God's protection. The Psalm begins with a condition and a promise: “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). The emphasis is on “dwelling”. God's protection is closely connected to our relationship with Him. The secret place speaks of intimacy, fellowship, prayer, trust, and dependence upon God. Those who make God their habitation discover that His presence becomes their refuge and fortress. Psalm 91 declares that God is able to deliver His people from hidden dangers, terror by night, arrows by day, pestilence, destruction, and threats that cannot always be seen with the natural eye. The picture of a loving God who watches over His children is painted beautifully in verse 4: “He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust.”

Throughout Scripture, divine protection is consistently revealed as part of God's covenant relationship with His people. According to Psalm 121:7–8, “The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in.” Isaiah 54:17 assures us, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper.”, while 2 Thessalonians 3:3 reminds believers that “the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.” God protected Noah and his family in the midst of judgment, preserved the Israelites through the Red Sea, delivered Daniel from the lions, protected the three Hebrew children in the fiery furnace, and rescued Peter from prison. These accounts remind us that God remains a protector in every generation.

The four-part series for the month of September “Activating Divine Protection”, invites us to trust God, remain under His authority, obey His Word, pray consistently, exercise wisdom, and stand firmly on His promises. God's protection does not always mean the absence of storms; sometimes it means His presence and preservation in the middle of the storm.

Join us this and every Sunday, as we explore the theme.

#No more rejection!..

Jer. 14:17-18 “Speak this word to them: “‘Let my eyes overflow with tears night and day without ceasing; for the Virgin Daughter, my people, has suffered a grievous wound, a crushing blow. If I go into the country, I see those slain by the sword; if I go into the city,     I see the ravages of famine. Both prophet and priest have gone to a land they know not.’”

#No more tears!

Jer. 14:19 Have you rejected Judah completely? Do you despise Zion? Why have you afflicted us so that we cannot be healed? We hoped for peace but no good has come, for a time of healing but there is only terror.

#No more rejection!

Jer. 14:20 We acknowledge our wickedness, Lord, and the guilt of our ancestors; we have indeed sinned against you.

#No more wickedness!

Jer. 14:21-22 For the sake of your name do not despise us; do not dishonor your glorious throne. Remember your covenant with us and do not break it. Do any of the worthless idols of the nations bring rain? Do the skies themselves send down showers? No, it is you, Lord our God. Therefore our hope is in you, for you are the one who does all this.

Let us pray: Father God, remember your covenant with us and have mercy in the name of Jesus

WORD DIARY: FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 4, 2026

#Be truthful!..

Jer. 14:10 This is what the Lord says about this people: “They greatly love to wander;     they do not restrain their feet. So the Lord does not accept them; he will now remember their wickedness and punish them for their sins.”

#Be committed!

Jer. 14:11-12 Then the Lord said to me, “Do not pray for the well-being of this people.  Although they fast, I will not listen to their cry; though they offer burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them. Instead, I will destroy them with the sword, famine and plague.”

#Be acceptable!

Jer. 14:13-14 But I said, “Alas, Sovereign Lord! The prophets keep telling them, ‘You will not see the sword or suffer famine. Indeed, I will give you lasting peace in this place.’”  Then the Lord said to me, “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds.

#Be truthful!

Jer. 14:15-16 Therefore this is what the Lord says about the prophets who are prophesying in my name: I did not send them, yet they are saying, ‘No sword or famine will touch this land.’ Those same prophets will perish by sword and famine. And the people they are prophesying to will be thrown out into the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and sword. There will be no one to bury them, their wives, their sons and their daughters. I will pour out on them the calamity they deserve.

Let us pray: Father God, let your mercy prevail over judgment in the name of Jesus

#Desire the mercy!..

Jer. 14:4-5 The ground is cracked because there is no rain in the land; the farmers are dismayed and cover their heads. Even the doe in the field deserts her newborn fawn     because there is no grass.

#Desire the rain!

Jer. 14:6 Wild donkeys stand on the barren heights and pant like jackals; their eyes fail     for lack of food.”

#Desire the food!

Jer. 14:7-8 Although our sins testify against us, do something, Lord, for the sake of your name. For we have often rebelled; we have sinned against you. You who are the hope of Israel, its Savior in times of distress, why are you like a stranger in the land, like a traveler who stays only a night?

#Desire the mercy!

Jer. 14:9 Why are you like a man taken by surprise, like a warrior powerless to save? You are among us, Lord, and we bear your name; do not forsake us!

Let us pray: Father God, arise and save us in the name of Jesus

#Beware of scarcity!..

Jer. 13:24-25 “I will scatter you like chaff driven by the desert wind. This is your lot, the portion I have decreed for you,” declares the Lord, “because you have forgotten me and trusted in false gods.

#Trust in God!

Jer. 13:26-27 I will pull up your skirts over your face that your shame may be seen— your adulteries and lustful neighings, your shameless prostitution! I have seen your detestable acts on the hills and in the fields. Woe to you, Jerusalem! How long will you be unclean?”

#Beware of shame!

Jer. 14:1-2 This is the word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah concerning the drought    : “Judah mourns, her cities languish; they wail for the land, and a cry goes up from Jerusalem.

#Beware of scarcity!

Jer. 14:3 The nobles send their servants for water; they go to the cisterns but find no water. They return with their jars unfilled; dismayed and despairing, they cover their heads.

Jer. 13:22 And if you ask yourself, “Why has this happened to me?”— it is because of your many sins that your skirts have been torn off and your body mistreated.

Jer. 13:17 If you do not listen, I will weep in secret because of your pride; my eyes will weep bitterly, overflowing with tears, because the Lord’s flock will be taken captive.

#Be attentive!

Jer. 13:18-19 Say to the king and to the queen mother, “Come down from your thrones, for your glorious crowns will fall from your heads.” The cities in the Negev will be shut up,     and there will be no one to open them. All Judah will be carried into exile, carried completely away.

#Don’t be stubborn!

Jer. 13:11 For as a belt is bound around the waist, so I bound all the people of Israel and all the people of Judah to me,’ declares the Lord, ‘to be my people for my renown and praise and honor. But they have not listened.’

NEW BEGINNING! – PART 5 - CONCLUSION!.. (ANOINTING SERVICE)

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." — 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

One of the expressions of new things is that God uses them to offer us a new beginning. A new beginning is one of God's greatest gifts to humanity. It is His gracious invitation to leave behind the failures of yesterday and embrace the hope of tomorrow. It is the assurance that no matter how far we have fallen, how many mistakes we have made, or how impossible our circumstances appear, God is able to write a new chapter in our lives. The gospel itself is the greatest story of a new beginning. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, sinners are forgiven, hearts are transformed, and lives are recreated by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Apostle Paul captures this truth in our anchor Scripture, 2 Corinthians 5:17, where he declares that anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. This is not merely an improvement of the old life or an attempt at self-reformation. It is a complete transformation brought about by the saving work of Christ. The old identity dominated by sin, guilt, shame, and spiritual death has passed away, and a new life filled with God's grace, purpose, and righteousness has begun. This new beginning is available to every person who places their faith in Jesus Christ.

Throughout the Bible, we see remarkable examples of people whom God gave fresh starts. Noah entered a cleansed world after the flood. Abraham began a new journey at God's command. Moses received a new assignment after years in the wilderness. Ruth moved from loss to divine purpose. David rose from shepherd to king, despite his humble beginnings. Peter was restored after denying Christ, and Saul the persecutor became Paul the apostle through the transforming power of God's grace. Their stories remind us that our past does not have to determine our future when God is at work.

Our five-part series for the month of August, “New Beginning” will help us establish that every genuine new beginning starts with Christ and continues as we surrender every area of our lives to Him. Together we will learn how to leave the past behind, experience God's restoring power, renew our minds through His Word, and walk boldly into the new season He has prepared for us. Whether you are seeking spiritual renewal, healing from past failures, restoration in your family, breakthrough in your career, or a deeper relationship with God, this series will reveal timeless biblical principles that lead to lasting transformation. Join us this Sunday, on-line or in person, as we explore the theme and conclude the series.

Jer. 13:13-2 This is what the Lord said to me: “Go and buy a linen belt and put it around your waist, but do not let it touch water.” So I bought a belt, as the Lord directed, and put it around my waist.

Jer. 13:3-5 Then the word of the Lord came to me a second time: “Take the belt you bought and are wearing around your waist, and go now to Perath and hide it there in a crevice in the rocks.” So I went and hid it at Perath, as the Lord told me.

#Additional divine instructions!

Jer. 13:6-7 Many days later the Lord said to me, “Go now to Perath and get the belt I told you to hide there.” So I went to Perath and dug up the belt and took it from the place where I had hidden it, but now it was ruined and completely useless.

Jer. 13:8-9 Then the word of the Lord came to me: “This is what the Lord says: ‘In the same way I will ruin the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem.

#Divine testing!..

Jer. 11:21-23 Therefore this is what the Lord says about the people of Anathoth who are threatening to kill you, saying, “Do not prophesy in the name of the Lord or you will die by our hands”— therefore this is what the Lord Almighty says: “I will punish them. Their young men will die by the sword, their sons and daughters by famine. Not even a remnant will be left to them, because I will bring disaster on the people of Anathoth in the year of their punishment.”

#Divine judgment!

Jer. 12:1-2 You are always righteous, Lord, when I bring a case before you. Yet I would speak with you about your justice: Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why do all the faithless live at ease? You have planted them, and they have taken root; they grow and bear fruit. You are always on their lips but far from their hearts.

#Divine mystery!

Jer. 12:3-4 Yet you know me, Lord; you see me and test my thoughts about you. Drag them off like sheep to be butchered! Set them apart for the day of slaughter! How long will the land lie parched and the grass in every field be withered? Because those who live in it are wicked, the animals and birds have perished. Moreover, the people are saying, “He will not see what happens to us.”

#Divine testing!

Jer. 12:5-6 “If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in the thickets by[b] the Jordan? Your relatives, members of your own family— even they have betrayed you; they have raised a loud cry against you. Do not trust them, though they speak well of you.

Jer. 11:16 The Lord called you a thriving olive tree with fruit beautiful in form. But with the roar of a mighty storm he will set it on fire, and its branches will be broken.

#Remain fruitful!

Jer. 11:17 The Lord Almighty, who planted you, has decreed disaster for you, because the people of both Israel and Judah have done evil and aroused my anger by burning incense to Baal.

#Remain planted!

Jer. 11:18-19 Because the Lord revealed their plot to me, I knew it, for at that time he showed me what they were doing. I had been like a gentle lamb led to the slaughter; I did not realize that they had plotted against me, saying, “Let us destroy the tree and its fruit;     let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name be remembered no more.”

#Remain pure!

Jer. 11:20 But you, Lord Almighty, who judge righteously and test the heart and mind, let me see your vengeance on them, for to you I have committed my cause.

Let us pray: Father God, arise and judge our enemies in the name of Jesus

#Life questions and meditation:

1. Would you rather remain planted?

2. Would you rather remain fruitful?

#Futile prayers!..

Jer. 11:12 The towns of Judah and the people of Jerusalem will go and cry out to the gods to whom they burn incense, but they will not help them at all when disaster strikes.

#Futile attractions!

Jer. 11:13 You, Judah, have as many gods as you have towns; and the altars you have set up to burn incense to that shameful god Baal are as many as the streets of Jerusalem.’

#Futile efforts!

Jer. 11:14 “Do not pray for this people or offer any plea or petition for them, because I will not listen when they call to me in the time of their distress.

#Futile prayers!

Jer. 11:15 “What is my beloved doing in my temple as she, with many others, works out her evil schemes? Can consecrated meat avert your punishment? When you engage in your wickedness, then you rejoice.”

Let us pray: Father God, have mercy and accept our sacrifices in the name of Jesus

#Life questions and meditation:

1. Would you rather offer futile prayers?

2. Would you rather make futile efforts?

WORD DIARY: SUNDAY AUGUST 23, 2026

#Consequences of disobedience!..

Jer. 11:6-7 The Lord said to me, “Proclaim all these words in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem: ‘Listen to the terms of this covenant and follow them. From the time I brought your ancestors up from Egypt until today, I warned them again and again, saying, “Obey me.”

#Call to obedience!

Jer. 11:8 But they did not listen or pay attention; instead, they followed the stubbornness of their evil hearts. So I brought on them all the curses of the covenant I had commanded them to follow but that they did not keep.’”

#Consequences of disobedience!

Jer. 11:9-10 Then the Lord said to me, “There is a conspiracy among the people of Judah and those who live in Jerusalem. They have returned to the sins of their ancestors, who refused to listen to my words. They have followed other gods to serve them. Both Israel and Judah have broken the covenant I made with their ancestors.

#Conspiracy against God!

Jer. 11:11 Therefore this is what the Lord says: ‘I will bring on them a disaster they cannot escape. Although they cry out to me, I will not listen to them.

Let us pray: Father God, have mercy and forgive our sins in the name of Jesus

Postscript

Ecclesiastes 7:29 This only have I found: God made mankind upright, but men have gone in search of many schemes.

God, more than earthly manufacturers, created a perfect mankind; and like every manufacturer, He gave the Bible as the manual. As we brush our teeth and eat every day, so much do we need to look into that manual for daily living and thereby prevent a malfunction inherent in seeking our many devices.

NEW BEGINNING! – PART 4 - TIME AND SEASON FOR NEW BEGINNING!..

As we journey through this month together, let us approach God's Word with expectant hearts. Let us believe that the God who opened the Red Sea, restored broken lives, raised Jesus from the dead, and established the Church is still at work today. May this month mark the beginning of a fresh season of faith, obedience, fruitfulness, and spiritual growth as we experience the life-changing reality of God's New Beginning.

WORD DIARY: SATURDAY AUGUST 22, 2026

#Apply the covenant!..

Jer. 10:25 Pour out your wrath on the nations that do not acknowledge you, on the peoples who do not call on your name. For they have devoured Jacob; they have devoured him completely and destroyed his homeland.

#Call on God!

Jer. 11:1-2 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: “Listen to the terms of this covenant and tell them to the people of Judah and to those who live in Jerusalem.

#Apply the covenant!

Jer. 11:3-4 Tell them that this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Cursed is the one who does not obey the terms of this covenant— the terms I commanded your ancestors when I brought them out of Egypt, out of the iron-smelting furnace.’ I said, ‘Obey me and do everything I command you, and you will be my people, and I will be your God.

#Obey God!

Jer. 11:5 Then I will fulfill the oath I swore to your ancestors, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey’—the land you possess today.” I answered, “Amen, Lord.”

Let us pray: Father God, fulfill your covenant in the name of Jesus

#Life questions and meditation:

1. Would you rather apply the covenant with God?

2. Would you rather apply the covenant with man?
