WORD DIARY: SUNDAY FEBRUARY 1, 2026

#B.L.A.M.E.L.E.S.S.!..

Acts 18: 5 When Silas and Timothy came from Macedonia, Paul devoted himself exclusively to preaching, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Messiah.

#D.E.D.I.C.A.T.I.O.N.!

Acts 18: 6  But when they opposed Paul and became abusive, he shook out his clothes in protest and said to them, “Your blood be on your own heads! I am innocent of it. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”

#B.L.A.M.E.L.E.S.S.!

Acts 18: 7-8 Then Paul left the synagogue and went next door to the house of Titius Justus, a worshiper of God.  Crispus, the synagogue leader, and his entire household believed in the Lord; and many of the Corinthians who heard Paul believed and were baptized.

R.E.L.O.C.A.T.E.!

Acts 18: 9-11 One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.” So Paul stayed in Corinth for a year and a half, teaching them the word of God.

Let us pray: Father God, we thank you for the assurance of protection in the name of Jesus

#Life questions and meditation:

1. Are you dedicated to the work of God?

2. How do you respond to opposition in the work of God?

Postscript

Ecclesiastes 7:29 This only have I found: God made mankind upright, but men have gone in search of many schemes.

God, more than earthly manufacturers, created a perfect mankind; and like every manufacturer, He gave the Bible as the manual. As we brush our teeth and eat every day, so much do we need to look into that manual for daily living and thereby prevent a malfunction inherent in seeking our many devices.

These verses and the accompanying nuggets are meant to start you out every day. But you need a personal relationship with God and the Lord Jesus Christ. It will help to contact a Bible believing church near you.

DIVINE DIRECTION! – PART 1– INTRODUCTION!

God has made it expressly clear that this is our year of increase. However, the manifestation of this increase, in whatever form or shape, will depend on our hearing and receiving clear directions from God. Our knowledge, expertise and connections are no guarantees to increase. The simple instruction of Jesus to His disciples in John 21:6, to "Cast your net on the right side" was the game changer they needed after a fruitless night of fishing. They recorded such a miraculous catch of fish that they could not haul it because of the multitude of fish. While this incident took place after the resurrection of Jesus, a parallel and more dramatic occurrence was at the inception of His ministry after using Peter’s boat as a pulpit to preach (Luke 5:1-9).

This year God will be speaking and directing us, but we must be careful to hear and obey, so that our increase will manifest; as divine direction, faith, and obedience lead to abundance beyond human effort. Our God not only provides, but He also directs. As Ps 32:8 puts it “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.” NKJV. The New Living Translation renders it thus: “The Lord says, "I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”The book of Isaiah captures it this way: “This is what the LORD says-- your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.” Isaiah 48:17 NIV

Indeed, there are many benefits inherent in divine direction. We demonstrate our trust in God, while He straightens our paths, saves us from losses and ensures we enjoy a sustainable increase. As typified in Genesis chapter 26, Isaac would have gone to Egypt due to the famine in the land. But he obeyed God’s instruction to live in the land He showed him. In verses 12-14, we learn the outcome: “Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy. He had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him.” NIV

God has made the provision for increase this year and would also direct us on how to experience it. We need to hear not only the voice of God voice for direction, but apply and obey same in decision making for increase. The theme of our four-part series for the month of February, “Divine Direction!” will assist us in this journey of discovery. Join us this and every Sunday, on-line or in person, as we explore the theme.

WORD DIARY: SATURDAY JANUARY 31, 2026

#Follow and believe!..

#Do the work!..

Acts 17: 32-33 When they heard about the resurrection of the dead, some of them sneered, but others said, “We want to hear you again on this subject.”  At that, Paul left the Council.

#Go for more!

Acts 17: 34 Some of the people became followers of Paul and believed. Among them was Dionysius, a member of the Areopagus, also a woman named Damaris, and a number of others.

#Follow and believe!

Acts 18: 1-3 After this, Paul left Athens and went to Corinth. There he met a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had ordered all Jews to leave Rome. Paul went to see them, and because he was a tentmaker as they were, he stayed and worked with them.

#Do the work!

Acts 18: 4 Every Sabbath he reasoned in the synagogue, trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.

Let us pray: Father God, we receive the grace to propagate the good news in the name of Jesus

#Life questions and meditation:
