UNHINDERED! – PART 2– OBSTACLES ARE STEPPING STONES!..

 

Hinderances have always been part of life. Even at creation, we learn that the earth was without form and void and darkness covered the face of the deep, until God spoke light into existence (Gen 1:2-3). There are seasons in life when forces stand in the way - delaying answers, resisting progress, and attempting to confine what God has already ordained. Doors appear shut, opportunities seem buried, and hope can feel sealed behind heavy stones. Yet the Gospel consistently reveals a powerful truth: nothing can ultimately hinder the move, purpose, or promise of God. No obstacle placed by man or circumstance can withstand the power of God. 

In Matthew 28:2, Scripture declares, “And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.” What men sealed, heaven unsealed. What was intended to contain life became the evidence of resurrection power as it provided a stage for divine intervention. The stone was not an obstacle to God—it was an opportunity for God to demonstrate that no barrier can withstand His authority. It was not rolled away so Jesus could come out—it was rolled away so the world could see that nothing can hinder God’s purpose.

This reality is echoed throughout Scripture. In Acts 12:7, when Peter was bound in prison, “the chains fell off from his hands,” proving that no chain can restrain whom God has set free. In Isaiah 45:2, God promises, “I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron,” declaring that divine intervention dismantles even the strongest resistance. In 2 Corinthians 3:17, we are reminded, “where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty,” affirming that God’s presence creates an unhindered atmosphere of freedom. And in Romans 8:31, the question resounds with confidence: “If God be for us, who can be against us?”

April is the Easter month and the series, “Unhindered”, is a call to step into the reality of divine freedom. It is an invitation to witness God remove every barrier, shift every limitation, and overturn every resistance that stands between you and your destiny. Just as the stone was rolled away, every hindrance in your life—whether spiritual, emotional, or physical—must give way to the authority of heaven.
