WORD DIARY: SUNDAY JULY 13, 2025

 

#Beware of scorners!..

 

Prov 23:6-8 Do not eat the food of a begrudging host, do not crave his delicacies; for he is the kind of person who is always thinking about the cost. “Eat and drink,” he says to you,     but his heart is not with you. You will vomit up the little you have eaten and will have wasted your compliments.

#Go for discernment!

Prov 23:9 Do not speak to fools, for they will scorn your prudent words.

#Beware of scorners!

Prov 23:10-11 Do not move an ancient boundary stone or encroach on the fields of the fatherless, for their Defender is strong; he will take up their case against you.

#Beware of encroachment!

Prov 23:12 Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to words of knowledge.

Let us pray: Father God, we receive grace to obey instructions in the name of Jesus

Ecclesiastes 7:29 This only have I found: God made mankind upright, but men have gone in search of many schemes.

God, more than earthly manufacturers, created a perfect mankind; and like every manufacturer, He gave the Bible as the manual. As we brush our teeth and eat every day, so much do we need to look into that manual for daily living and thereby prevent a malfunction inherent in seeking our many devices.
