#Be committed!

Phil 2:1 If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,

#Be encouraged!

Phil 2:2 Then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.

#Be joyful!

Gal 5:24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.

Let us pray: O Lord, we thank you the grace to overcome sin in Jesus name

#Life questions: 1. Are you willing to pay the price of commitment to your beliefs?

#Be a channel of blessing!

#Be bold in God!

Gal 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Phil 1:22 If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know!

#Productive engagement!

Phil 1:23-24 I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.

#Consider the interest of others!

Phil 1:25 Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith

#Keep up the good work!

Let us pray: O Lord, may we spend eternity with you in Jesus name

#Life questions: 1. Do you consider the interest of others in decision making?

2. How best can you apply your resources in the service of God and humanity?

Postscript

Ecclesiastes 7:29 This only have I found: God made mankind upright, but men have gone

in search of many schemes.

God, more than earthly manufacturers, created a perfect mankind; and like every

manufacturer, He gave the Bible as the manual. As we brush our teeth and eat every day,

so much do we need to look into that manual for daily living and thereby prevent a

malfunction inherent in seeking our many devices.

These verses and the accompanying nuggets are meant to start you out every day. But you

need a personal relationship with God and the Lord Jesus Christ. It will help to contact a

Bible believing church near you.

This means that we should make progress, in spite of the issues and challenges of 2020. Without the help of God, such progress will not be possible.

Our new five-part series for the month of January, explores the theme of God’s help in our advancement in life and destiny.

To find out more, join us this and every Sunday in January for the series: “Divine Advancement”

God bless you.

WORD DIARY: FIRDAY JANUARY 15, 2021

#Reject negative motives!...

Phil 1:16 The latter do so in love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel.

#Embrace positive motives!

Phil 1:17 The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains.

#Reject negative motives!

Phil 1:18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.

#Proclaim the good news!

Gal 5:19 The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;

Let us pray: Father God, we receive grace to live right in Jesus name

#Life questions: 1. What motivates you?

2. How can you align your motives for good causes?

#Fearless for God!...

Phil 1:13 As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ.

#Advancement in adversity!

Phil 1:14 Because of my chains, most of the brothers in the Lord have been encouraged to speak the word of God more courageously and fearlessly.

#Fearless for God!

Phil 1:15 It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill.
