#Encourage yourself!..

 

Psalms 42:5 Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

#Address yourself!

Psalms 42:6 My soul is downcast within me; therefore I will remember you from the land of the Jordan, the heights of Hermon—from Mount Mizar.

#Encourage yourself!

Psalms 42:7 Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.

#Immerse yourself!

Psalms 42:8 By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song is with me— a prayer to the God of my life.

#Look for God!..

 

Psalms 42:1 As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.

#Hunger for God!

Psalms 42:2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?

#Thirst for God!

 

Psalms 42:3 My tears have been my food day and night, while people say to me all day long,    “Where is your God?”

#Look for God!

Psalms 42:4 These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go to the house of God under the protection of the Mighty One with shouts of joy and praise among the festive throng.

Let us pray: Father God, we rejoice and praise you for protecting us in the name of Jesus

#Beware of unfriendly friends!..

 

Psalms 41:7-8 All my enemies whisper together against me; they imagine the worst for me, saying, “A vile disease has afflicted him; he will never get up from the place where he lies.”

#Beware of evil expectations!

Psalms 41:9 Even my close friend, someone I trusted, one who shared my bread, has turned against me.

#Beware of unfriendly friends!

Psalms 41:10-11 But may you have mercy on me, Lord; raise me up, that I may repay them. I know that you are pleased with me, for my enemy does not triumph over me.

#Unshakable!

Psalms 41:12-13 Because of my integrity you uphold me and set me in your presence forever. Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.
