#Reject seductive spirits!..

Prov 2:12-13 Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse, who have left the straight paths to walk in dark ways

#Wisdom for security!

Prov 2:14-15 Who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil, whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their ways.

#Reject evil ways!

Prov 2:16-17 Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words, who has left the partner of her youth and ignored the covenant she made before God.

#Reject seductive spirits!

Prov 2:18-19 Surely her house leads down to death and her paths to the spirits of the dead. None who go to her return or attain the paths of life.

Let us pray: Father God, preserve us from every evil in the name of Jesus

God, more than earthly manufacturers, created a perfect mankind; and like every manufacturer, He gave the Bible as the manual. DIVINE ENCOUNTER!... PART 5 – CONCLUSION! (ANOINTING FOR DIVINE ENCOUNTER)

It’s quite interesting and challenging that we are already in the second half of the year. Interesting that the next six months offer new opportunities, and challenging because of the current state of affairs, not just in our nation, but globally. However, whatever challenges abound in our nation and individual lives, it takes only an encounter with God to turn things around and give us the much-needed victory.

An encounter with God (the Father, Son and Holy Spirit), whether directly, or through His angels, or destiny helpers, is always a transformational experience. We see this play out many times in the Bible and contemporary life. In Gen. 32:26-30, Jacob’s encounter with God provides him with a new identity and favor to meet with Esau about whom he was afraid would kill him. Moses experienced God, through the burning bush which was not consumed, and received a commission to liberate the Israelites from bondage in Egypt: Ex. 3:10-12 “Now go, for I am sending you to Pharaoh. You must lead my people Israel out of Egypt.” But Moses protested to God, “Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt?” God answered, “I will be with you. And this is your sign that I am the one who has sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God at this very mountain.” NLT. For the lame man at the pool of Bethesda, a 38-year affliction was broken and he was healed instantly following an encounter with Jesus: John 5:8-9 “Jesus told him, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk!” Instantly, the man was healed! He rolled up his sleeping mat and began walking! But this miracle happened on the Sabbath” NLT

As we draw faith and strength from these examples, it is pertinent to note that God is able, willing, and ready to give us encounters that will change our lives and destinies. Much as the second half of a football game provides opportunities to win the match, no matter how the first half went, July gives us the privilege of a relationship with and trust in God to turn things around for our good. The areas of turnaround may differ with individuals. For some it could be healing (relationship, physical, material or spiritual), preservation of lives, change of names and identities, birthing of destinies and setting same on the path of manifestation. In whatever area it is, God will give us an encounter this season.

Our five-part series for the month of July, “Divine Encounter”, connects us to the life transforming power of God to change our lives and give us a glorious destiny. This overrides whatever is our current status or situation. Join us this Sunday as we explore the theme and conclude the series.

Prov 1:20-21 Out in the open wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the public square; on top of the wall she cries out, at the city gate she makes her speech.

Prov 1:22 “How long will you who are simple love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge?

Prov 1:15-16 My son, do not go along with them, do not set foot on their paths; for their feet rush into evil, they are swift to shed blood.

WORD DIARY: MONDAY JULY 24, 2023

#Grace to live long!..

Gen 50:20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

#Divine purpose!

Gen 50:21 So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.” And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them.

#Show mercy!

Gen 50:22-23 Joseph stayed in Egypt, along with all his father’s family. He lived a hundred and ten years and saw the third generation of Ephraim’s children. Also the children of Makir son of Manasseh were placed at birth on Joseph’s knees.

#Grace to live long!

Gen 50:24 Then Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die. But God will surely come to your aid and take you up out of this land to the land he promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.”

#Grace to forgive!..

Gen 50:15 When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, “What if Joseph holds a grudge against us and pays us back for all the wrongs we did to him?”

#Let God judge!

Gen 50:16 So they sent word to Joseph, saying, “Your father left these instructions before he died:

#A way out!

Gen 50:17 ‘This is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers the sins and the wrongs they committed in treating you so badly.’ Now please forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father.” When their message came to him, Joseph wept.

#Grace to forgive!

Gen 50:18-19 His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him. “We are your slaves,” they said. But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God?

Let us pray: Father God, only you do we serve in the name of Jesus

#Be committed!..

Gen 50:10 When they reached the threshing floor of Atad, near the Jordan, they lamented loudly and bitterly; and there Joseph observed a seven-day period of mourning for his father.

#Go for hope!

Gen 50:11 When the Canaanites who lived there saw the mourning at the threshing floor of Atad, they said, “The Egyptians are holding a solemn ceremony of mourning.” That is why that place near the Jordan is called Abel Mizraim.

#Be sober!

Gen 50:12-13 So Jacob’s sons did as he had commanded them: They carried him to the land of Canaan and buried him in the cave in the field of Machpelah, near Mamre, which Abraham had bought along with the field as a burial place from Ephron the Hittite.

#Be committed!

Gen 50:14 After burying his father, Joseph returned to Egypt, together with his brothers and all the others who had gone with him to bury his father.

WORD DIARY: FRIDAY JULY 21, 2023

#Required action! vs Authorized action!..

Gen 50:2-3 Then Joseph directed the physicians in his service to embalm his father Israel. So the physicians embalmed him, taking a full forty days, for that was the time required for embalming. And the Egyptians mourned for him seventy days.

#Do the needful!

Gen 50:4-5 When the days of mourning had passed, Joseph said to Pharaoh’s court, “If I have found favor in your eyes, speak to Pharaoh for me. Tell him, ‘My father made me swear an oath and said, “I am about to die; bury me in the tomb I dug for myself in the land of Canaan.” Now let me go up and bury my father; then I will return.’”

Gen 50:6 Pharaoh said, “Go up and bury your father, as he made you swear to do.”

#Authorized action!

Gen 50:7-9 So Joseph went up to bury his father. All Pharaoh’s officials accompanied him—the dignitaries of his court and all the dignitaries of Egypt— besides all the members of Joseph’s household and his brothers and those belonging to his father’s household. … It was a very large company.

Gen 49:29-30 Then he gave them these instructions: “I am about to be gathered to my people. Bury me with my fathers in the cave in the field of Ephron the Hittite, the cave in the field of Machpelah, near Mamre in Canaan, which Abraham bought along with the field as a burial place from Ephron the Hittite.

#Clear instructions!

Gen 49:31-32 There Abraham and his wife Sarah were buried, there Isaac and his wife Rebekah were buried, and there I buried Leah. The field and the cave in it were bought from the Hittites.”

Gen 49:33 When Jacob had finished giving instructions to his sons, he drew his feet up into the bed, breathed his last and was gathered to his people.

Gen 49:25 Because of your father’s God, who helps you, because of the Almighty, who blesses you with blessings of the skies above, blessings of the deep springs below, blessings of the breast and womb.

Gen 49:26 Your father’s blessings are greater than the blessings of the ancient mountains, than the bounty of the age-old hills. Let all these rest on the head of Joseph, on the brow of the prince among his brothers.

Gen 49:13 “Zebulun will live by the seashore and become a haven for ships; his border will extend toward Sidon.

Gen 49:14-15 “Issachar is a rawboned donkey lying down among the sheep pens. When he sees how good is his resting place and how pleasant is his land, he will bend his shoulder to the burden and submit to forced labor.
