WORD DIARY: SUNDAY NOVEMBER 21, 2021

#Be expectant!...

2 Peter 3:11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives

#Be holy!

2 Peter 3:12 As you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.

#Be expectant!

2 Peter 3:13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.

#Be faithful!

James 4:1 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you?

Let us pray: O Lord, we receive grace to overcome selfish desires in Jesus name

#Life questions and meditation:

1. This physical world is temporary. How does this change your perspective?

2. Are you looking forward to the new heaven and new earth reserved for the righteous?

Postscript

Ecclesiastes 7:29 This only have I found: God made mankind upright, but men have gone in search of many schemes.

God, more than earthly manufacturers, created a perfect mankind; and like every manufacturer, He gave the Bible as the manual. As we brush our teeth and eat every day, so much do we need to look into that manual for daily living and thereby prevent a malfunction inherent in seeking our many devices.

These verses and the accompanying nuggets are meant to start you out every day. But you need a personal relationship with God and the Lord Jesus Christ. It will help to contact a Bible believing church near you.
