NOW THAT WE ARE INSIDE ….. 2013!??
Dear Friends,
Third World in one of their popular songs asked this question….”Now that we have found love, what are we going to do with it?”
To rephrase and re-frame that question, now that we have made it into 2013, what are we going to do with and in it? Sure the parties are over. We are through with the fireworks. … some, regrettably with fatalities. The midnight, candle light services have long ended. Some New Year resolutions have been made and are still being made….
We are finally down to living…. the year, 2013!! It is like intending couples planning their marriage ceremony, wedding, if you like. They go into frenzy, drawing up a long to-do list, make various preparations, some necessary, some not quite so. Then comes the wedding day, and before you know it, it’s all over… and they are left wondering what all that fuss was about? I counsel them, that wedding though important, is for one day; the real deal is marriage which goes on, ideally, until death do them part. (While we are on the subject of marriage, I’d like to recommend a classic book by Dr. D.K. Olukoya, “40 Marriages That Must Not Hold”. It is not just for those aspiring to marry, but even those decades into it! I have been it for 15 years, and we are learning everyday…)
Back to 2013. For us on KingdomStreet, we have put our hands on the plough of 2013, and there is no looking back. We will continue to bring you thoughts, stories and events with wholesome entertainment value. We invite you to share your own stories, pictures and events with us, and as lies within you, do reciprocate our gesture. In these early days of 2013, we will also rerun some our blogs of 2012 to refresh you and enable some of you to get a grip of what we are about. We are dreaming big, working towards their achievement and believing God for His assistance. We pray you do so too, in your personal circumstances!
God is the author of every good dream. To find out more about God and how you can have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, visit any Bible believing church near you, or: CHAPEL OF DESTINY RESTORATION CHURCH, 2 Akinlabi Lane, off Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, by Round About Bus Stop, Ikeja. Lagos. I invite you to join us tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. I will be preaching a message, “The Triumph of An Ordered Step”
