WORD DIARY: SUNDAY February 11, 2018

Matthew 2:1-2 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews?
We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him."

The Lord has made my star to appear! #PastorBasil

Matthew 2:6  "'But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.'"

Humble beginnings; destined for greatness! #PastorBasil

The Bible
Matthew 2:7-8 Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and make a careful search for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him."

Powers hunting our stars shall fail! #PastorBasil

Isaiah 63:11 Then his people recalled the days of old, the days of Moses and his people — where is he  who brought them through the sea, with the shepherd of his flock? Where is he who set his Holy Spirit among them.

Let us pray: O Lord, as of old arise and save us from our enemies in Jesus name #PastorBasil

Postscript
Ecclesiastes 7:29 This only have I found: God made mankind upright, but men have gone in search of many schemes.

God, more than earthly manufacturers, created a perfect mankind; and like every manufacturer, He gave the Bible as the manual. As we brush our teeth and eat every day, so much do we need to look into that manual for daily living and thereby prevent a malfunction inherent in seeking our many devices.

These verses and the accompanying nuggets are meant to start you out every day. But you need a personal relationship with God and the Lord Jesus Christ. It will help to contact a bible believing church near you.

God bless you.
