WORD DIARY: TUESDAY AUGUST 21, 2018

Matthew 23:5-7 "Everything they do is done for men to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long; they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues;  they love to be greeted in the marketplaces and to have men call them 'Rabbi.'

“Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees”! (Matthew 16:6) #PastorBasil

Matthew 23:8-10 "But you are not to be called 'Rabbi,' for you have only one Master and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called 'teacher,' for you have one Teacher, the Christ.

War against the traditions of men! #PastorBasil

The Bible
Matthew 23:11-12 The greatest among you will be your servant. For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted

Go for genuine humility! #PastorBasil

Mark 5:9 Then Jesus asked him, "What is your name?" "My name is Legion," he replied, "for we are many."

Let us pray: O Lord arise and deliver us from demonic attacks in Jesus name #PastorBasil

Postscript

Ecclesiastes 7:29 This only have I found: God made mankind upright, but men have gone in search of many schemes.

God, more than earthly manufacturers, created a perfect mankind; and like every manufacturer, He gave the Bible as the manual. As we brush our teeth and eat every day, so much do we need to look into that manual for daily living and thereby prevent a malfunction inherent in seeking our many devices.

These verses and the accompanying nuggets are meant to start you out every day. But you need a personal relationship with God and the Lord Jesus Christ. It will help to contact a bible believing church near you.
