WORD DIARY: SUNDAY AUGUST 22, 2021

#Embrace the sacrifice of Christ!...

Heb 10:11 Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.

#Reject unproductive activity!

Heb 10:12 But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God

#Embrace the sacrifice of Christ!

Heb 10:13-14 Since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool, because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

#Sanctified by the blood of Jesus!

2 Thess 2:8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.

Let us pray: O Lord, let your glory manifest in Jesus name

#Life questions and meditation: 1. Have you embraced the sacrifice of Christ?

2. How can you maximize the benefits of Christ’s sacrifice?

Postscript

Ecclesiastes 7:29 This only have I found: God made mankind upright, but men have gone in search of many schemes.

God, more than earthly manufacturers, created a perfect mankind; and like every manufacturer, He gave the Bible as the manual. As we brush our teeth and eat every day, so much do we need to look into that manual for daily living and thereby prevent a malfunction inherent in seeking our many devices.

These verses and the accompanying nuggets are meant to start you out every day. But you need a personal relationship with God and the Lord Jesus Christ. It will help to contact a Bible believing church near you.
