WORD DIARY: SUNDAY APRIL 9, 2023

#Return journey!..

Gen 31:17-18 Then Jacob put his children and his wives on camels, and he drove all his livestock ahead of him, along with all the goods he had accumulated in Paddan Aram, to go to his father Isaac in the land of Canaan.

#Harvest of blessings!

Gen 31:19-20 When Laban had gone to shear his sheep, Rachel stole her father’s household gods. Moreover, Jacob deceived Laban the Aramean by not telling him he was running away.

#Beware of deception!

Gen 31:21 So he fled with all he had, crossed the Euphrates River, and headed for the hill country of Gilead.

#Return journey!

Gen 31:22-23 On the third day Laban was told that Jacob had fled. Taking his relatives with him, he pursued Jacob for seven days and caught up with him in the hill country of Gilead.

Let us pray: O Lord, save us from evil pursuers in the name of Jesus

#Life questions and meditation:

1. Can you count your blessings?

2. Are you thankful for your blessings?

Postscript

Ecclesiastes 7:29 This only have I found: God made mankind upright, but men have gone in search of many schemes.

God, more than earthly manufacturers, created a perfect mankind; and like every manufacturer, He gave the Bible as the manual. As we brush our teeth and eat every day, so much do we need to look into that manual for daily living and thereby prevent a malfunction inherent in seeking our many devices.

These verses and the accompanying nuggets are meant to start you out every day. But you need a personal relationship with God and the Lord Jesus Christ. It will help to contact a Bible believing church near you.
