WORD DIARY: SUNDAY AUGUST 25, 2024

#No more shame!..

Psalms 79:1 O God, the nations have invaded your inheritance; they have defiled your holy temple, they have reduced Jerusalem to rubble.

#Beware of satanic attacks!

Psalms 79:2-3 They have left the dead bodies of your servants as food for the birds of the sky, the flesh of your own people for the animals of the wild. They have poured out blood like water all around Jerusalem, and there is no one to bury the dead.

#No more deaths!

Psalms 79:4 We are objects of contempt to our neighbors, of scorn and derision to those around us.

#No more shame!

Psalms 79:5 How long, Lord? Will you be angry forever? How long will your jealousy burn like fire?

Let us pray: Father God, let your anger turn to mercy in the name of Jesus

#Life questions and meditation:

1. Have you actions angered God?

2. Have you asked for the mercy of God?

Postscript

Ecclesiastes 7:29 This only have I found: God made mankind upright, but men have gone in search of many schemes.

God, more than earthly manufacturers, created a perfect mankind; and like every manufacturer, He gave the Bible as the manual. As we brush our teeth and eat every day, so much do we need to look into that manual for daily living and thereby prevent a malfunction inherent in seeking our many devices.

These verses and the accompanying nuggets are meant to start you out every day. But you need a personal relationship with God and the Lord Jesus Christ. It will help to contact a Bible believing church near you.
