WORD DIARY: SUNDAY OCTOBER 24, 2021

#Give up carnality!...

1 Peter 4:2 As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God.

#Live for God!

1 Peter 4:3 For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do — living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry.

#Give up carnality!

1 Peter 4:4 They think it strange that you do not plunge with them into the same flood of dissipation, and they heap abuse on you.

#Show good examples!

James 2:15 Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.

Let us pray: O Lord, we receive grace to empathize with others in Jesus name

#Life questions and meditation:

1. Do you live for the will of God or to satisfy your own carnal desires?

2. Are you able to show good examples even when it is not convenient?

Postscript

Ecclesiastes 7:29 This only have I found: God made mankind upright, but men have gone in search of many schemes.

God, more than earthly manufacturers, created a perfect mankind; and like every manufacturer, He gave the Bible as the manual. As we brush our teeth and eat every day, so much do we need to look into that manual for daily living and thereby prevent a malfunction inherent in seeking our many devices.

These verses and the accompanying nuggets are meant to start you out every day. But you need a personal relationship with God and the Lord Jesus Christ. It will help to contact a Bible believing church near you.
