Take
good counsel!...
Acts
27:8 We moved along the coast with difficulty and came to a place called Fair
Havens, near the town of Lasea.
Acts
27:9 Much time had been lost, and sailing had already become dangerous because
by now it was after the Fast. So Paul warned them
Acts
27:10-11 "Men, I can see that our voyage is going to be disastrous and
bring great loss to ship and cargo, and to our own lives also." But the
centurion, instead of listening to what Paul said, followed the advice of the
pilot and of the owner of the ship.
John
11:11 After he had said this, he went on to tell them, "Our friend Lazarus
has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up."
Postscript
Ecclesiastes 7:29 This only have I
found: God made mankind upright, but men have gone in search of many schemes.
God, more
than earthly manufacturers, created a perfect mankind; and like every
manufacturer, He gave the Bible as the manual. As we brush our teeth and eat
every day, so much do we need to look into that manual for daily living and
thereby prevent a malfunction inherent in seeking our many devices.
These
verses and the accompanying nuggets are meant to start you out every day. But
you need a personal relationship with God and the Lord Jesus Christ. It will
help to contact a bible believing church near you.
