WORD DIARY: SATURDAY AUGUST 8, 2020

Wanted: A listening ear!...

1 Cor 14:20 Brothers, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in

your thinking be adults.

Wanted: Spiritual maturity!

1 Cor 14:21 In the Law it is written: "Through men of strange tongues

and through the lips of foreigners I will speak to this people,

but even then they will not listen to me," says the Lord.

Wanted: A listening ear!

1 Cor 14:22 Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers but

for unbelievers; prophecy, however, is for believers, not for unbelievers.

Wanted: Good news!

John 19:29-30 A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in

it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus' lips. When he had received

the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

Let us pray: O Lord, give us the grace to finish well in Jesus name

Life questions: 1. As a believer, do you consciously seek to grow spiritually?

2. How well do you listen to, and apply the word of God?
