WORD DIARY: TUESDAY AUGUST 4, 2020

Profitable direction!...

1 Cor 14:5 I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may be edified.

Declare God’s truth and love!

1 Cor 14:6 Now, brothers, if I come to you and speak in tongues, what good will I be to you, unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or word of instruction?

Profitable direction!

1 Cor 14:7 Even in the case of lifeless things that make sounds, such as the flute or harp, how will anyone know what tune is being played unless there is a distinction in the notes?

Clear communication!

John 19:24 "Let's not tear it," they said to one another. "Let's decide by lot who will get it." This happened that the scripture might be fulfilled which said, "They divided my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing." So this is what the soldiers did.

Let us pray: O Lord, we thank you for the truth of your word in Jesus name

Life questions: 1. Does your character reflect clearly who you are in Christ?

2. In what ways can you demonstrate the truth and love of God?
