WORD DIARY: SUNDAY AUGUST 16, 2020

#Believe the good news!...

1 Cor 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not

without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them — yet not I, but the grace of God

that was with me.

#Grace for service!

1 Cor 15:11 Whether, then, it was I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what

you believed.

#Believe the good news!

1 Cor 15:12 But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can

some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?

#Prepare for the resurrection morning!

John 19:40 Taking Jesus' body, the two of them wrapped it, with the spices, in strips

of linen. This was in accordance with Jewish burial customs.

Let us pray: O Lord, we thank you for the grace to serve in Jesus name

Life questions: 1. How conscious are you that God requires your service in the Kingdom?

2. In what ways can you improve on your service to the Kingdom?

Postscript

Ecclesiastes 7:29 This only have I found: God made mankind upright, but men have gone in search of many schemes.

God, more than earthly manufacturers, created a perfect mankind; and like every manufacturer, He gave the Bible as the manual. As we brush our teeth and eat every day, so much do we need to look into that manual for daily living and thereby prevent a malfunction inherent in seeking our many devices.

These verses and the accompanying nuggets are meant to start you out every day. But you need a personal relationship with God and the Lord Jesus Christ. It will help to contact a bible believing church near you.
