WORD DIARY: SUNDAY JUNE 7, 2020

Be your brother’s keeper!...

1 Cor 6:7 The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?

Pay the price!

1 Cor 6:8 Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers.

Be your brother’s keeper!

1 Cor 6:9-10 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Grace to overcome sin!

John 17:17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

Let us pray: Father God, we receive the truth of the good news in Jesus name

Life questions: 1. Do you sometimes suffer wrong in order to allow peace with others?

2.  How best can you be your brother’s keeper?

Postscript

Ecclesiastes 7:29 This only have I found: God made mankind upright, but men have gone in search of many schemes.

God, more than earthly manufacturers, created a perfect mankind; and like every manufacturer, He gave the Bible as the manual. As we brush our teeth and eat every day, so much do we need to look into that manual for daily living and thereby prevent a malfunction inherent in seeking our many devices.

These verses and the accompanying nuggets are meant to start you out every day. But you need a personal relationship with God and the Lord Jesus Christ. It will help to contact a bible believing church near you.
