Acts
21:37 As the soldiers were about to take Paul into the barracks, he asked the
commander, "May I say something to you?" "Do you speak
Greek?" he replied.
Acts
21:38-39 "Aren't you the Egyptian
who started a revolt and led four thousand terrorists out into the desert some
time ago?" Paul answered, "I am a Jew, from Tarsus in Cilicia, a
citizen of no ordinary city. Please let me speak to the people."
Acts
21:40-22 Having received the commander's permission, Paul stood on the steps
and motioned to the crowd. When they were all silent, he said to them in
Aramaic: "Brothers and fathers, listen now to my defense."
John
9:30-33 The man answered, "Now that is remarkable! You don't know where he
comes from, yet he opened my eyes. We know that God does not listen to sinners.
He listens to the godly man who does his will. Nobody has ever heard of opening
the eyes of a man born blind. If this man were not from God, he could do
nothing."
