It is exactly one month from today, and also on a Saturday,
that the rescheduled 2015 elections will commence. On that day, March 28, Presidential,
Senatorial & House of Representatives elections will hold; whilst April 11 will
be for Governorship and State House of Assembly elections.
The advantages and disadvantages of the postponement have
been bandied at different fora by a variety of individuals, groups and
associations; all of course colored by their different interests. One thing is
certain though, and that is the fact that we need a peaceful atmosphere and
indeed peace in the nation to conduct credible elections.
Nigerians are deeply religious and no matter your faith, I believe
we should intercede for our nation at this critical moment in history. So we
urge you to join us as we begin a countdown of prayer for peace towards the
elections.
DAY 29
Psalms 122:6-9 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall
prosper that love thee. Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy
palaces. For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within
thee. Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good.
Let us
pray: O Lord, let your peace reign in Nigeria, now, during and
after the elections in Jesus name
